Others

In connection with my PhD thesis I was given a chance to collaborate on a project of adjustment of Earth orientation parameter from optical astrometry since 1900. The project was lead by Dr. Jan Vondrak from Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. In this project I proposed and implemented a solution of sparse matrix of normal equations with a specific sparse structure. In 2000 the Czech Academy of Sciences awarded this project the price of the best project of the year. I consider the possibility of taking part in this project to be the most important estimation of my professional career.

I am working on the GNU project Gama (Geodesy and Mapping) - long term project for open source geodetic software in C++.

At present I am conducting research in the field of applications of XML and related technologies of distributed processing of geodetic and cartographic data.
